BARTOW | A circuit judge got rid of a gag order Wednesday that has restricted Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd and others from disclosing information in the videotaped beating of a 16-year-old Mulberry High cheerleader. Judd released a statement saying he disagreed with the gag order and was pleased it was gone.

Gas prices set yet another record in Orlando on Wednesday, with regular reaching an average of $3.51 for the first time in the metro area. The run-up at the pump -- a year ago, gas was selling for $2.87 on average -- is largely being blamed on the soaring costs of crude oil. Earlier this week, oil hit an all-time high -- trading at close to $120 a barrel -- but was at $118.30 on Wednesday.
